Happiness

Fina has an older brother and two younger sisters. She lives with her parents, her brother and her sisters in an ordinary but a wonderful house near her campus. She studies at Sidney University, Creative Writing Program. She is in second semester now.

Her youngest sister is 3 years old now. She likes eating banana. Fina loves her so much. She always accompanies her before going and after back from campus. She always read a story before she goes to bed and feeds her.

Her mother's proud of her. She is a kind girl. She was the best student when she studied in Senior High School. She is so great.

Last week when she was sitting under the mango tree, her classmate came over her, "Hi, what are doing here?"

"Nothing. I am doing nothing. You look so beautiful."

"Oh, I am flattered. Thank you."

"Fina, You look happy everyday, all the time. You are so lucky?"

"What? Why did you say so?"

"You know, I am a daughter of a rich parent. We have more than enough money, but we don't have what you have."

"You mean ... happiness?"

"Yeah."

Fina looked at the emptiness, let the air come over her and touched her face. "I don't think so, Eveline. All of us have our own problem."

"It's different. I don't know who is my dad and who is my mum."

"You don't live with them?"

"We live together, but ..." she cried

Sunset in St. Tropez

A: Where did you go last holiday?
B: I went to France. I enjoyed the sunset scenery in St. Tropes.
A: Wow…!! That’s a great vacation.
B: Yeah. Of course. Will you go there for the next holiday?
A: Could you tell me a little about that great tourist destination?
B: St. Tropez is a stunning beach, a relaxed atmosphere and offers a wide range of recreational opportunities for travelers. You can enjoy a glass of sparkling champagne in the late afternoon on the boulevard while watching the sun go down. In summer St. Tropez is a hot spot for trendy visitors and parties last until the morning hours every night.
A: wow.. That sounds nice. I am sure it will be so great if I go there with my girl. What about the accommodation there?
B: don’t worry about that. There are several great hotels to stay. But I recommend you De la Pinede hotel. This is one of the most glamorous hotels in St. Tropez, if not in the world. Located on the outskirts of town, the Pineade has some of the best dining, service, and wine list in St. Tropez. Peaceful and tranquil, the environment creates a real life oasis.
The rooms are tastefully done, and most have a terrace with a view of the sea and the private beach.
Other hotels are Pastis Hotel St Tropez, Hotel Byblos Saint Tropez, Chateau De La Messardiere, but I suggest you the first one. That's the most recommended one.
A: How much does it cost?
B: I think it's cheap, only 1,694.57 USD a night. This price includes complimentary breakfast and lunch for 2 persons without drinks. Bedroom  with twin bed, Air conditioning, Mini bar, Private safe, flat screen TV, Complimentary Wifi access, luxurious bathroom with hairdryer and balcony overlooking the hotel court side.
A: What about the food?
B: The local cuisine is a mixture of Italian, Spanish and French. And you know, it’s the world's most highly rated cuisine. Pasta, seafood and fresh fish are featured in many local dishes.

Role Play: Invitation

A: I thought you might like to come to my home this evening. We have dinner together.
B: Wooow ... I'd be delighted to come.
A: Actually I need your hand to be a proof reader of my book.
B: What time should I come?
A: What about 7 pm?
B: I'd love to, but I am afraid I would be late. I have something to do until 6:30, what about 7:30?
A: No problem.

(B forgot to come. They met again in the morning)

B: Hi, .... Sorry last night I forgot to come to your home?
A: it's okay. No problem.  (Leaving)
C: He looks angry with you?
B: No. He is my close friend.
C: But you’ll break up your friendship.
B: No. He made many mistakes to me, but I always understand him. He is a human being, me too.
C: You shouldn't think so. You may not claim everybody will be okay with your attitude.
B: It's me.
C: You are a hypocrite.
B: No, I am not. A Friend must always forgive. No mistake in friendship.
C: That's your opinion. Your friend may not think so.

Everything is Possible

Everybody
What does life mean to you?
What is a life?
Do you think life is a competition?
Are you the ones are playing the game?
Or you are just watching someone else playing the game?

Everybody,
If you are just watching them,
And you are just commenting about their performances until the game ends?
Will you win the game?
No
You are just sitting and doing nothing
You are just complaining

Then,
You hope life will be greater, will be better than today
Is it possible if you’re just sitting and doing nothing?
No

Everybody,
If you are the ones playing the game?
You are on the game
Who is your opponent?
Is your opponent greater than you? stronger than you?
Then you wanna give up?
Because you’re worried to be defeated

Everybody,
Your opponents feel the same as you
Your opponents think that you are so great, you are so strong
They think so

Then,
If so,
Are you dare to say,
“I am so great. I am sure I will win the game. I can because I will.
Everything is possible for me.”
Are you dare?
Let’s keep go on, Guys
Because life is so wonderful
And tomorrow will be more wonderful
Because you will
And you will win

Everybody,
What you need to do just say, “Thank you Allah for the most wonderful life today.
I’ll make tomorrow be more wonderful than today.”
God has given you the life, then make it be more wonderful

Vocabulary on Dialogue

A: How do you do, Sir?
B: How do you do, Sir?
A: I am Michael. I am from Scotland. I am a new student here.
B: Wow...!! Great. So you speak English?
A: Of course.
B: I am Burman. I am a second year student here. What are you studying here?
A: I am studying Indonesian culture.
B: What make you interested to study about Indonesian culture?
A: Mmm... It's been a long ago, about two years ago, I read an article on Indonesian blogger. He wrote about a custom in a small village located in Java island. That village is in east Java. I forget the name of that village, but that was really interesting. He told that when someone in that village build a house, he doesn't need much money for that because his neighbor will help him to buy some materials, and he may return it when his neighbor builds a house for them or for their children. So it was an ongoing cooperation, right? It's really interesting for me. They are so cooperative. And I thought that there are many other wonderful customs in this country.
B: Then you came here and meet me now. Glad to meet you, Michael.
A: Glad to meet you too, Burman.
B: You know, we have so many local languages. My mother tongue is Javanese, but I can speak Sundanese, Madura, Balinese, Bahasa Indonesia, and English.
A: You are a polyglot. I only speak English and Bahasa Indonesia, but haven't perfect yet

Most people go on holiday to the beach in summer. It’s hot in this season, bring your umbrella or wear a wide hat to cover your head from the heat. But don’t wear your hat in autumn, it’s windy. The leaves spread on the land. The wind will blow your hat. It’s a bit cold and cloudy.

What about winter? It’s very cold, snowy, rainy. The rain falls, snow everywhere. Wear jacket. Be careful, don’t get cold too long, you will be numb like a stone, want you? However, you can go on picnic in spring. It’s warm, very nice. It’s fine to go outside.

But I never care the weather. I like to go outside, whether it’s misty, drizzly, freezing, foggy, frosty, sweltering, stormy, fine or not. Sometimes I see a little bird’s singing around the morning mist, on the motionless cloud. That’s wonderful enough.

Give Your Opinion

Dino came to school yesterday, but he was late. Security did not allow him to get in, but he climbed the wall behind the school. I and my teacher saw it. My teacher was so angry with him. He had Dino stand up in front of the class. "I want to study, though I come late. It's better than I play around the street," he said.

What do you think about it?
