B: How do you do, Sir?
A: I am Michael. I am from Scotland. I am a new student here.
B: Wow...!! Great. So you speak English?
A: Of course.
B: I am Burman. I am a second year student here. What are you studying here?
A: I am studying Indonesian culture.
B: What make you interested to study about Indonesian culture?
A: Mmm... It's been a long ago, about two years ago, I read an article on Indonesian blogger. He wrote about a custom in a small village located in Java island. That village is in east Java. I forget the name of that village, but that was really interesting. He told that when someone in that village build a house, he doesn't need much money for that because his neighbor will help him to buy some materials, and he may return it when his neighbor builds a house for them or for their children. So it was an ongoing cooperation, right? It's really interesting for me. They are so cooperative. And I thought that there are many other wonderful customs in this country.
B: Then you came here and meet me now. Glad to meet you, Michael.
A: Glad to meet you too, Burman.
B: You know, we have so many local languages. My mother tongue is Javanese, but I can speak Sundanese, Madura, Balinese, Bahasa Indonesia, and English.
A: You are a polyglot. I only speak English and Bahasa Indonesia, but haven't perfect yet
